SENIOR citizens in the Oaklands Old Age Home in Heideveld were spoiled rotten when Manenberg police officers and the department of Social Development decided to treat them and teach them safety laws.

“We needed to bring the seniors safety tips and awareness on alcohol and substance abuse,” says Lieutenant Ian Bennett, Manenberg police spokesperson.

“We want them to know that they haven’t been forgotten and they can call on us anytime.”

The department of Social Development want seniors to know that they mean a lot to the community. All of them received roses from the Active Social Assistance Organisation.
