CANNABIS with a street value of R11 000 was seized following a tip-off about the possible movement of drugs in Seawinds.
Under the commander of Captain Montague MacKinnon, Muizenberg Police officers obtained a search warrant, and searched a house in Stanilas Street. Constable Shaun Essex discovered of a large amount of dagga in the bedroom of a separate entrance.
A 19-year-old man was arrested, charged with possession of dagga, and appeared in the Muizenberg Magistrate’s court on Thursday 16 February.
Police followed up another tip and searched a residence in Church Circle, where 67 dagga sticks were found stored in an outside toilet.
A 47-year-old man was arrested and charged. He appeared in court the same day.

. Also on Thursday morning, Ocean View police searched an alleged drug house in the Masiphumelele wetlands. They confiscated 157 dagga sticks and two packets of dagga, with an estimated street value of R2 000. The suspects, aged between 36 and 38, were arrested.
